Yangyang has become Korea's answer to a beach town, built around Korea's first surfing-only beach and a laid-back scene that's grown up around it.

Getting there
Express bus from Seoul's Express Bus Terminal or Dong Seoul Terminal takes about 2 hours. There's no direct KTX; the train option means going via Gangneung and transferring to a bus.
Getting around
Public transport within Yangyang is limited — most visitors rent a car or use taxis to get between the beach, temple, and town.
