Why this site exists

I’m Dan. I moved to Seoul five years ago and never really left. In that time I’ve worked my way through most of the city and a good chunk of the country — the famous places, and a lot of the ones that never make it into a guidebook.

Friends kept flying in and asking the same questions: where to stay, how the subway works, whether Jeju is worth it, what to actually eat. I’d write them long messages with exact directions and timings. MyKoreanTrip is that, made public.

What’s here

• Free guides to Korea’s cities, transport, food and culture — written for first-time visitors.
• An AI assistant that answers your questions using those guides, and shows you the sources.
• Hand-written itineraries you can buy and download — exact, hour-by-hour plans, down to which station exit to take.

The approach

No sponsored placements dressed up as recommendations. No rewritten top-10 lists. If I send you somewhere, it’s because I’d go there myself. The site is still small and growing — new guides and itineraries go up regularly.
