Buyeo (then called Sabi) became Baekje's capital in 538 AD and remained its centre until the kingdom fell to combined Silla and Tang forces in 660 AD.

Getting there

Buyeo is often paired with Gongju as a two-day Baekje history trip, since the two sites tell connected chapters of the same kingdom's story.
