Intermediate 1 — Politeness. The three levels of Korean and when each is right, how to raise the other person with honorifics without lifting yourself, and what to call people.

Intermediate 2 — Want, Can, Must, May. Four patterns that turn statements of fact into the things you actually need to say, plus how to try something and how to ask for it nicely.

Intermediate 3 — Because, So, If and But. Three different words for because and when each one is right, how to say if, and the connector Koreans use constantly that has no English translation at all.

Intermediate 4 — Describing and Reporting. How to put a whole sentence in front of a noun, how to say something seems or looks a certain way, and how to repeat what someone else said.

What's in each

Eight lessons, two of them worked conversations, then a two-page test with a full answer key. About thirty minutes to read each one, and another twenty on the exercises.

The audio

Every word and sentence in the course is read aloud on a page on this site — the QR code on the cover opens it. Audio is not embedded in the PDF because iOS Files, Apple Books and most Android readers silently ignore it.
